  1. In a large bowl, beat the puddings and milk and allow to sit in the fridge until just set--about 8 to 10 minutes or so.

  2. In a 9x13 or slightly smaller dish (you can make it in anything really), start by laying down a layer of cookies.

  3. Add about 1/3 of the pudding and spread it evenly.

Oh my gosh, I will never be able to unknow this. It makes banana pudding 100% more hilarious, and let's face it, banana pudding is already a pretty funny dessert. Your story reminds me of junior high when we were learning to write checks in home-ec and we all wrote them to each other for "services rendered" and thought we were sooooo clever. ;)

I love how simple this recipe is. I'm not usually a banana in dessert person, but pudding is one of the few places I'll make an exception! And any excuse to eat vanilla wafers and pudding is just A++ in my book.
