This was SO delicious! I recently heard about making chicken pot pie and using Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits for the crust. I tried a different version a couple of weeks ago and it was good, but it required way too much cheese. I found this recipe today and it’s definitely going to be my go-to chicken pot pie recipe from now on. 😍
My husband loves this casserole; me too!! It has more steps than some recipes, but oh is it worth it!!
At a loss as to what to cook, I came across this randomly, simply because I had all the ingredients. After converting the ingredient quantities to metric and recalculating for two people I gave it a go.
I have to say it was quite exceptional. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and I'm under orders to do it again. We used Quorn 'Chicken' pieces (pulled apart) instead of real chicken and it worked very well.
For anyone else wondering if this works with gluten free flour, it totally does! I used Cup4Cup and half & half instead of milk (because it's what I had on hand) but otherwise followed the recipe and it turned out great! I'll definitely be making it again
Wonderful recipe, thank you!
Needed a quick meal for a cold winter day. So easy and delicious.
Loved it Used the Red Lobster Cheddar biscuits mix for the topping. Perfect easy quick recipe for left over Sams/Costco rotisserie chicken. You can get the biscuit mix at those stores too!
I was given this meal by a friend when I had my twins back in October 2018 and I can't even tell you how many times I've made this since. It always hits the spot! I do bake it for longer though to get the biscuits cooked thoroughly. I'm planning on making it for a friend next week when she has her baby because it's so easy to make but so comforting to eat.
So so good! One of my husband’s favorite meals.
Absolutely fabulous!!! Quick, easy, and delicious!
This recipe is PERFECT!! By far the best chicken pot pie I have ever made! I got a fresh rotisserie chicken and pulled the chicken off the bone. I poured the juices from the rotisserie chicken in the filling and also added 1 teaspoon of better than bouillon chicken base. It’s honestly perfect, I wouldn’t change a thing! I also used the boxed red lobster cheddar bay biscuits and when it finished cooking I brushed with the butter/spice mixture and added a little garlic powder, dried chives, and Korean red pepper flakes to my butter mixture. Excellent!
Delicious. You made the home-made, non-condensed soup version approachable and doable. Thank you!
Came out great! I added a few extra random spices to flavor up the biscuits, and mostly used a bag of fresh carrot chips and fresh sliced mushrooms for the veggies. I sauteed them with the onions and garlic first. This is a winner to make again!
This is a family favorite!! If I could give 10 stars I would!! It's so so good!!
