  1. Preheat oven to 400° F. Liberally grease a 13x9" light metal baking pan with cooking spray. Set aside.

  2. In a medium saucepan, melt together the butter, water, sugar, and salt over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, stir in the flour and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon for about 2 minutes or until the mixture forms a ball and the flour is incorporated. Remove from the heat and add the dough ball to a heat-safe bowl.

Chef's Notes

Remember, we are only using 2 & 1/2 cups eggnog for the liquid in the filling - no additional milk. Do NOT follow the directions on the packages of the pudding mix or your filling will not set up.
