“Gold-bottom” Vegan Caramel Chocolate Cupcakes
I call these guys “Golden-bottom” cupcakes, sort of in response to black bottom cupcakes. The caramel sauce sinks to the bottom of the cakes as they bake leaving you with a beautifully gooey golden surprise when you bite in.

I made these for my sister-in-law last year for her birthday and they were amazing. But the caramel sinking to the bottom and being so "saucy" is super messy. Do you reckon I could instead put the caramel in the baked cupcakes? Like, if I bake the cupcakes, then scoop out a hole from the top, fill that with caramel and then cover the hole with frosting? Would look forward to your reply, it is kind of urgent, but alas, I don't know how active you are on this site anymore! Greetings from Austria! xxx

So, admittedly I have only made the caramel so far- and holy holy moly is it amazeballs!!!! Seriously, it's better than the caramel i used to make before becoming vegan. it's THAT GOOD. Making the cupcakes tonight and I'm sure they'll be absolutely tasty. Thank you for this terrific recipe
