Ingredients

Instructions

  1. First, cook the rice by bringing the broth, rice, and butter to a boil, cover, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook for 45 minutes.

  2. While the rice is cooking, add the ground pork, maple syrup, and 1 teaspoon of sea salt to a large skillet over medium heat and cook for 8-10 minutes, crumbling the pork as it browns.

  3. Once the pork is browned, transfer it to a separate bowl, and then add the butter to the same pan. Once melted, add the shallot and stir and cook for 3-4 minutes until evenly browned.

Great alternative to bread stuffing and I loved that it doesn’t require any oven space. Enjoyed the hint of orange flavor too. Next time I would add more shallots (maybe double the amount?) and more pecans. Delicious!
