I love this recipe with 1/4 tsp garlic powder and 1tsp Worcestershire sauce I then add just enough water to make a thickish syrup, I then flip and bast every 5min till crisp.

Perfection! Making some candied bacon and jalapeño deviled eggs.

You are as much a part of the cooking process as the recipe! Use some critical thinking please. If it burned the first time you did it, change the oven temp or the time or even what rack you put it in the oven. A recipe is not an end all be all, it is simply a guideline. You said you are a decent cook so maybe put that skill to use and make the recipe work for you!

I burned it. The edges got blackened before it got crispy in the middle. Probably my fault but since I’m a decent cook I thought I did everything right. It turned out terrible.

My family loves this recipe, there's so many ways you can play with the flavor. I promised my 2 children that we would buy the ingredients and make it ourselves, since the candied bacon with cotton candy at the fair was $16 a slice. We added our own little twist to it and really loved it. The smokey flavor was the best! of course we added cotton candy to ours like we had seen at the fair. It was perfect!

In the mid 90's, the kitchen I worked in called this kitchen crack! Making some tonight and reliving some great memories! Thanks for reminding me of this

This is a wonderful snack, but you need to adjust the baking time per thickness of the bacon.
