Best Vegan Black Bean Burgers with Oats & Peanuts

No reviews yet

These are the best vegan black bean burgers I've tried. Super simple to make. They are made with peanuts and oats, (you can swap peanuts for another type of nut).

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Add the drained, canned beans to a food processor, then add the onion, garlic and the spices. (I did this in two batches as my food processor is small, but if you have a normal-sized blender or food processor you can do it all in one go).

  2. Next add the tomato puree, peanut butter and nuts.

  3. Season with salt and pepper. Burgers always need over seasoned.

  4. Whizz until you have a rough paste. it doesn't have to be too fine.

  5. Spoon the mixture into a mixing bowl and add the oats and mix well.

  6. Once it's started to come together, take dollops and roll them into balls, then flatten them into patties with your hands. This is easier to do with wet hands.

  7. The mixture will make between 3-4 burgers.

  8. Fry in a hot pan or griddle pan with a little oil (use a small spray of oil if you are watching your calories or fat intake).
