I started using this recipe several years ago and hands down the best!

I keep meaning to come here and leave a rating for this recipe. This is my most favorite cookie recipe ever. I have made this recipe literally hundreds of times over the last 4-5 years. I’ve taught and shared this recipe link with many other family members and every time we make a batch the cookies are gone within a couple days. Easy to tweak this recipe too. This past Christmas I added red and green M&Ms and sprinkles to the batter to make them festive, and I’ve made it with milk chocolate chips and white chocolate chips too. I’ve also tried it with chunks of Kit Kat bar, and Jersey Milk chocolate bars. I’ve tried it with margarine as well as butter, it is best with butter. I’ve tried the butter melted and just softened (room temp), and I prefer room temp cause then I get slightly more puffy cookies. I am writing this review while I’m making another batch right now. These never fail, thank you very much for posting this recipe, I think it’s my favorite food of all time.

These are the absolute best. I only use 1 teaspoon of vanilla, as two is too much for us. I make mine into bars. We love them. They are so moist and chewy. Thank you for the best recipe. L

We love these cookies as is. But we also make these cookies and add small marshmallows to the top and a slice of graham cracker on the bottom. 5 stars! Delicious!

This is my ONLY go-to recipe for chocolate chip cookies. I've been using it for years now.

I do modify it in one way, I BROWN THE BUTTER. Omg... it makes these already delicious cookies thin, chewy, caramely, nutty and just simply irresistible. My husband RAVES about my cookies and says they are the best homemade cookies hes ever had! 10 stars!

This is my go to recipe! I have some gluten free friends though - Can I make this recipe with oat flour instead?

Did you make this recipe?

Thanks for rating!
