I love making my own pan release! I would like to recommend, for your followers, that they put a note on the the top that says "whisk before using". I asked my husband to prepare a baking pan for me and I noticed the coating didn't look right on the pan. I then looked at the pan release and it had separated. I washed the dish, used the whisk and all was well. I think it was because I do not bake a lot in the summer and it was in the fridge too long without mixing. I've never had it to bad. I like putting mine in an anchor bowl with a lid.

Easiest prep and cleanup of a bundt pan, ever. Cake released beautifully!

I am trying to avoid hydrogenated oils from my diet. I would use avocado oil for this recipe. Can I substitute lard for the shortening?
