Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Add oil to a large dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onions, carrots, and celery. Cook until onion is translucent and veggies are beginning to get tender. This takes me about 10 minutes.

  2. Add the ground beef and sausage to the same pot. Break up the meat with a wooden spoon, and cook until the meat is no longer pink. Be sure to drain excess fat.

  3. Add cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Hi - thank you for the recipe! We loved it - and I really like the adaptability to do different things - i.e. less meat, more beans, etc.
Just for your info, the recipe I received did not say when to add the TOMATO PASTE, an oversight I assume.

Did you make this recipe?

Thanks for rating!
