Instructions

  1. Get out and measure your ingredients.

  2. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a muffin pan with 12 holes with cooking spray. Set aside.

  3. On your work surface roll out your grand or regular crescent dough. Make sure all of the seams are all gone. There should just be one large piece of dough.

  4. Slice into 12 squares. Either 6 x 2 for grands and 4 x 3 for regular.

  5. Place each square into each muffin hole.

  6. Next, place some cooked sausage or bacon on top of each square inside each muffin cup.

  7. Add a pinch of onions and peppers (if using).

  8. Add some cheese on top.

  9. In a medium sized bowl combine eggs and milk with a whisk.

  10. Pour egg mixture into each muffin cup until it is 2/3 full. Sprinkle more cheese on top.

  11. Bake for 16-18 minutes or a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Chef's Notes

Expert Tips:

To make individual mini crescent roll breakfast casserole bites you can prepare different combinations of ingredients making them perfect for larger groups of people with varied tastes!

When you roll out the dough on your work surface make sure to pinch all the seams together well so that it looks like one piece of dough.

Serve these crescent breakfast rolls warm or room temperature, but really these are best served warm!

In a rush to throw something together I had an idea of what I wanted to do with what I had on hand, I came across this recipe. I did alter it a bit by leaving out the peppers & onion only to save time chopping. I must say it was a hit with everyone & will do these again. It's easy, quick and simple! Change up the add ins to your taste or what you have on hand.

These are so good! I sprayed the pans but still had issues with them sticking.

I make these at least once a month. Cooking for one, so I freeze them (2 per ziplock bag) and eat them a couple of times a week. Defrost in the frig the night before and then into my toaster oven to warm up. Yum!
