  1. Preheat oven to 180°C fan-forced (200°C conventional). Grease and line a 22cm round springform cake pan with baking paper.

  2. Melt butter in a large frying pan on medium heat, cook, stirring occasionally for 3 minutes until butter is golden brown. Add oats, cook for 3 minutes, until golden. Remove from heat, stir in water. Put oat mixture in a bowl, set aside to cool completely.
