In an enamel/ceramic lined skillet or similar non-stick skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and 2 teaspoons tamari, sauté for 4 to 5 minutes over medium-high heat to allow the mushrooms to release their liquid. Add a splash of water if needed.

*Tip: We like the taste of avocado and found that the delicious mushroom, spinach, onion topping was perfect without adding any additional seasoning to the mashed avocado. However, if you are not a huge avocado fan yet, you can add a sprinkle of garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper into the mashed avocado.
*Tamari: We used San J Tamari Soy Sauce, Gluten Free, Reduced Sodium. You can substitute the tamari with reduced sodium soy sauce, Braggs Liquid Aminos, or Braggs Coconut Liquid Aminos.
*Mushrooms: You can use your favorite mushroom. We used button mushrooms.
*Sea Salt: Please adjust the sea salt based upon your family’s sea salt preferences and/or based upon dietary needs.
*Serving: Makes 2-3 avocado toasts.
*Storage: Refrigerate, use within the day.
