Chef's Notes

Notes
We like to use the barrel pansĀ to make this dish.
You can make this dish in a traditional air fryer OR Ninja Foodi using the air crisp feature.
CarbQuick is the mix we use to make the biscuit topping low carb.
If you are not eating low carb, you can use your own prepared biscuit mix or dough. Just make sure to crumble it on top and not in full biscuit form.
We use Xanthan Gum to thicken sauces and gravies in low carb cooking. You can leave it out in many cases, but the gravy may be thin.

As with any of our recipes, carb counts, calorie counts andĀ nutritionalĀ information varies greatly. As a result, yourĀ nutritionalĀ content depends on which products you choose to use when cooking this dish.Ā The auto-calculation is just an automated estimate and should NOT be used for specific dietary needs.
All air fryers cook differently, so cooking times are always a basic guideline. Recipes should always be tested first in your own unit and time adjusted as needed.

Hi Michelle-
It is 42g, however, 35g of that is fiber ( Carbquick is primarily fiber). So the recipe is 7g NET carbs using the auto-calculation. We ALWAYS recommend figuring your own nutritional info with the exact ingredients you use at home. Hope that clears things up. Enjoy!

Hi Jean-
I just cut it into 6 portions and serve. I then store the leftovers in serving size container to grab and reheat. Hope that helps!

I'm totally a biscuit breaker too, Kim!

Hi Paula-
Several folks have asked me to convert this to use other methods. I will get in the kitchen and work on some adaptations for you guys. I want to test it before making recommendations because I don't want to tell you guys wrong and have you waste those ingredients.
