  1. If using buns, with a serrated or bread knife, carefully shave off the bottom part of the heels, so you expose the interior of the bun.

  2. Spread some vegan butter or mayo on your buns and toast until golden brown in a pan over medium heat (ideally let them rest on a wire rack so they don't get soggy).
