3 chipotle peppers and 2 teaspoons sauce will give you a spicy sauce. Use less for a milder sauce. You can freeze any leftover chipotle peppers from the can.
Nutritional information was calculated assuming that approximately 3 tablespoons of oil are absorbed into the fish when fried; it does not include the chipotle sauce.

Amazing recipe! Is this doable in an airfryer?
I’ve been making this recipe for years. My family loves it and demands it every 4th of July for our fish fry at our cabin. Usually have to double it because we have around 20+ people to feed!
Just finished having these, and absolutely loved them. UK supermarkets don't have chipotle peppers in adobo sauce so we ordered this from Amazon and it was really worth the wait. Thanks so much for sharing. We will be having them again tomorrow :)
This one is a staple in our household, my husband and I are obsessed!!
We made these for dinner last night. They are delicious! The fish was light and crispy and the slaw was brightly flavored. My husband and son both loved them. I would definitely make these again.
I made these fish tacos yesterday for Mother’s Day family dinner ,everyone raved about them. Followed the recipe exactly but cut back a little on the chipotle peppers . I will definitely be making this again very soon
If I could give this more than five stars it would be a 20 !!
Love this recipe!!!! Our favourite!
Super delicious, as are all Jenn's recipes that I've tried and I just adapted this one for fewer carbs and even more simplicity? I just rolled some cod/halibut in a mexican type of spice mix and then pan fried it and cut it up, mixed the sauce on it and then placed on top of the cabbage slaw base ... very delicious!
Made this tonight for Cinco De Mayo and my husband and I really loved it! He said they were the best fish tacos he had ever had! I used a deep, non-stick pot with canola oil and covered my stove with aluminum foil to cut down on the oil splatter. I also made the chipotle sauce earlier in the day to save some time at dinner time. I plan on reheating the leftover fish in the air fryer for tomorrow’s lunch! Amazing recipe…thank you!
Made these tonight for Cinco De Mayo and they were a hit. I could not find cod and used halibut which was great. My kids loved the sauce, used both flour tortillas for them and corn for me. Really great recipe.
Just made… and delicious! Instead of beer, I used a cup of sparkling water which helps make the batter crisp (it’s the carbonation) as I have members in our family who can’t have any alcohol. Fried in avocado oil… I think a clean canola might be lighter.
Loved the simplicity and happy to have Baja Taco night on the rotation menu!
