Instructions

  1. In a large pan, saute the onion and garlic in the olive oil until soft.

  2. Add the peppers and cook gently for a few minutes until they soften too.

  3. Add the chopped tomatoes.

  4. Next add the tomato puree, vinegar, herbs and chilli to the sauce and mix in.

  5. Cook gently for 10 minutes to allow the flavours to meld and the tomato sauce to thicken.
