Quick and easy these Fish and Chips are battered in a delicious beer batter and fried until golden. Served with steak fries this traditional English dish couldn't get any better.

Instructions

  1. Cook French fries according to package directions, we deep fry ours so you can either do it before or after frying your fish.

  2. Preheat deep fryer to 350.

  3. Cut your fish into fillets or if using frozen, defrost and pat dry, set aside.

  4. In bowl whisk together 1 cup flour, baking powder, cayenne, salt and pepper.

  5. In another bowl add your remaining flour.

  6. In yet another bowl whisk together your beer and eggs until combined.

  7. Slowly add your beer mixture into your dry ingredients and whisk until no lumps remain.

  8. Dip your fish into flour and coat on all sides then dip into batter, slowly lower into oil making sure it doesn't stick to the bottom.
